Learn to Make Resin Dice

Preventing Raised Faces
In dice-making, raised faces are one of the most common issues you’ll encounter when using “squish” or “cap” moulds (used by most dice makers).
The most important thing to do is not overfill the mould. The more material on top, the more you’ll need to “squish” out to get a flat face. All you want to do is “dome” the resin over each dice and then apply a tiny amount of resin on the numbers on the lid. If you overfill the mould, remove it with your stirrer. Now, after putting your cap on, you need to squish it down and “shimmy” it a bit. This will help to force excess resin out of the mould. The less excess resin on top, the less resin you have to clean up later!
Pro tip: Add some weight to the top of your mold or put some light rubber bands around it!
